Strain Request Form

Dear Colleague:

We regretfully inform the E. coli research community that we DID NOT receive the funding necessary to complete the MG1655 Insertion Mutant Strains Collection, the MG1655 Archive Gateway Clone Collection and the Archive Pocus Collection. We remain committed to providing biological samples from the current confirmed collections as requested. However, we find it necessary to increase our per clone sample charge to $100.00 per clone plus shipping effective June, 1, 2004. These are cost recovery charges only. We thank the scientific community, which has supported us in the past for our efforts in providing this valuable resource. Thank you for your continued interest and support of our efforts and contributions.

Sincerely,
Frederick R. Blattner
Professor of Genetics

A recent server replacement has resulted in our strain- and mutant-request forms no longer working correctly. To make a request, please provide the information requested below in an email to strains@genome.wisc.edu. You can copy the blank form, paste it into your email, and then fill it in. Alternatively, you can actually fill out the form and print the screen to a pdf file if you have that capability; the pdf can then be sent via email. Thank you

Check our strain collection to see if the strains you want are available before requesting them. Please note that you can request a maximum of 5 strains at one time.
